How to Get $SCRT for Gas
How to buy $SCRT for gas
There are several ways to get $SCRT from a beginner to a pro. We recommend heading to https://scrt.network/about/get-scrt/ for the most up to date information. You can buy $SCRT on Shade Protocol but if you do not have $SCRT you cannot do this because you need $SCRT for gas. If you already have $SCRT for gas you can buy more on ShadeSwap.
There are four different ways to get SCRT, from beginner to pro.
Note: the method you can use will depend on your jurisdiction (i.e. the country you live in).
Option 1: Bridge Assets then Swap
You can bridge over many different crypto assets, and swap them for SCRT at the same time. An example of this would be to bridge $ETH from the Ethereum Chain onto Secret Network through the Shade bridge feature. Then go to ShadeSwap and swap some $ETH for $SCRT
Option 2: Fiat On-ramps
If it’s available in your geographical region, buying with fiat may be the simplest option like Transak or Kado
Option 3: Buy through Centralized Exchanges
Depending on your geographical region, you can buy SCRT on these centralized exchanges operated by traditional businesses like Binance or Kraken.
Option 4: Buy through Shade Decentralized Exchange
You can buy SCRT from DEXs within the IBC ecosystem, or a wrapped version of Secret from DEXs on Ethereum. Shade Protocol App is the best place to get SCRT.
Onboarding without gas
If you are new to Shade Protocol you can onboard by using our grant fee faucet. This will give you a small amount of $SCRT to get started. Connect your MetaMask Wallet and a Fee Grant will pop up above the Connect Wallet button.
If you're new to our app, check out our #ShadeGuide playlist for additional tutorials to help you get familiar with the Shade app and become a pro user. We have videos that will walk you through all the features step-by-step.
