This digital summit will be freely available for all to listen to. We believe that DeFi protocols are stronger together, and that the conversations that will occur from this summit will ultimately result in more robust models, better liquidity partnerships, as well as additional education for users.

Agoric

Agoric is a Proof-of-Stake chain utilizing Hardened JavaScript smart contracts to rapidly build and deploy DeFi. One of the first smart contracts deployed is IST - a decentralized stablecoin pegged to USD.

Comdex

Comdex is a DeFi infrastructure layer for the Cosmos, focused on launching a suite of DeFi primitives including CMST - a decentralized stablecoin pegged to USD.

Shade Protocol

Shade Protocol is an array of connected privacy-preserving DeFi applications built on Secret Network. The flagship product of Shade Protocol is SILK, an overcollateralized privacy-preserving stablecoin pegged to a basket of global currencies and commodities.

Duality

Duality is a modern DEX coming to Cosmos focused on creating extreme flexibility for liquidity providers. Due to the intimate relationship between DEXs and stablecoins, Duality has an interesting perspective on stablecoins.

Axelar

Axelar delivers secure cross-chain communication for Web3. Axelar's infrastructure enables dApp users to interact with any asset or application, on any chain, with one click. Stablecoins will exist in an interconnected Web3 - what is the role of bridges within the story of decentralized stablecoins? Axelar is here to provide insight on this during the stablecoin summit.

Kujira

Kujira is a layer-1 semi-permissioned smart contract blockchain built with the CosmosSDK. Featuring on-chain order books, liquidation platforms, and a stablecoin (USK) - this ecosystem has a bright DeFi future ahead of it.  

Stride

Stride allows users to liquid stake any IBC-compatible cosmos SDK native appchain token. Featuring a blockchain ("zone") that provides liquidity for staked assets. Using Stride, you can earn both staking and DeFi yields across the Cosmos IBC ecosystem.

Frax

Frax Protocol introduced the world to the concept of a cryptocurrency being partially backed by collateral and partially stabilized algorithmically. With the vision to create highly scalable, decentralized money in place of fixed-supply digital assets like BTC.

Event Format

The Cosmos Stablecoin Summit consists of the following:

During the Summit Introduction, each protocol will have a chance to introduce their solutions, what they have built, and what they are planning to build. The Panel Discussion will deep dive into the problem of stablecoins and what has been learned in 2022. During the Stablecoin Deep Dive, projects will have an opportunity to deep dive into their specific protocol. The Key Note given by Carter Woetzel will be on the future of stablecoins and Cosmos DeFi.

Conclusion

Shade Protocol is an ambitious array of application-layer products focused on a simple end-user experience that involves the incorporation of privacy by default. These interconnected privacy-preserving DeFi products built on Secret Network will change DeFi as we know it — empowering the next generation of value creation and exchange. Shade Protocol is launching Silk: a privacy-preserving collateralized, reflexive stablecoin built on Secret Network.

Without privacy, DeFi is incomplete. Traditional financial markets offer a degree of privacy for users, and as a result, offer up greater protections in some capacity than existing DeFi markets. Shade Protocol will be the world’s first truly cohesive decentralized and privacy-preserving financial applications — ushering in a golden era for Web3. Shade Protocol will always push for privacy by default, privacy as an expectation, and privacy as the key to unlocking the full value of a decentralized future.
