The Great Hunt, Part 2 - Shade Incentivized Testnet

The hunt for utility in Private DeFi is on as dSHD nears launch on Shade Protocol! The Shade Incentivized Testnet, dubbed "The Great Hunt, Part 2" kicks off on April 9th, 2024 and ends on April 22nd, 2024. This is your chance to be the first to use liquid staked SHD on Testnet, explore the new staking derivative UI, and potentially earn rewards by identifying bugs and usability issues.

May the best hunters win The Great Hunt, Part 2.

What is dSHD?

dSHD is a liquid staking token for SHD, built by Shade Protocol, that allows you to earn yield on your staked assets without locking them up. Normally when you stake crypto assets, they are locked up and illiquid until unbonded. Additionally, staking yield needs to be manually compounded and/or claimed. However, dSHD allows users to maintain a SHD staking position that auto-compounds staking rewards

solves this by giving you an IOU token representing your staked assets. You can then trade this IOU token freely while still earning staking rewards. When you're ready, you can burn the IOU to retrieve your original staked assets.

In simpler terms, dSHD lets you earn auto-compounding yields as if your tokens were locked up staking, but you never lose the liquidity of your assets.

Rewards and Bounties

A total of 350 SHD tokens (worth around $2200 USD) will be distributed to testnet participants who uncover bugs and usability issues. The rewards break down as follows:

Usability Bounty - 250 SHD Total ($1,500+/- USD)

- 50 SHD each to the top 5 submissions related to usability

Bonus - 100 SHD Total ($630 USD +/-)

- 10 SHD each to 10 random testers  for high impact bug reports

Submissions will be judged on impact, clarity, and depth of the issue reported. The top scoring tickets in each category will receive the rewards.
